Albanian international midfielder Ansi Agolli’s goal boost hosts New York Cosmos to a 1:0 victory against Brooklyn Italians SC in 2019 NPSL’s (National Premier Soccer League) North Atlantic Conference Final at Uniondale’s Mitchel Athletic Complex on Wednesday evening.

Agolli broke the scoreless deadlock in the 72nd minute-mark firing a one-time shot from 25 yards into the right side of Brooklyn net off an assist from U.S. international midfielder Danny Szetela.

Goalkeeper Paul Blanchette posted his 11th shutout of the year with Cosmos.

The Cosmos, which claimed its first trophy of the season as conference winners, progress to the Northeast Region playoffs and will host the final from that NPSL’s bracket next week.
