This representitive of the Vancouver Whitecaps is in the running to have $25,000 donated to the charity of his choosing at the MLS All-Star Game July 31 in Orlando. Learn more of the award and vote at MLSSoccer.com/comunity/MVP, use the vote and Tweet buttons to vote. The MLS WORKS Comunity MVP sets out to honor those utilizing soccer in making changes with their comunity for the better of course. Fans will vote on this Grand Prize, announced at halftime of the game. In June, fans had the chance to put up their selections. There are now 24 vying for the award, one per team.

MLS & LIGA MX today announced the 8 teams this year will double next as they pit teams from both of the highest level leagues in North America. Getting in is set by way of the 8 out of MLS being the top 4 of each conference. LIGA MX participants will be determined by the 2019 Apertura champion, 2020 Clausura champion, 2019-20 Copa MX champion followed by the 5 top teams in the Apertura 2019-Clausura 202o regular seasons who have not qualified for the Cup. This year it all begins next week.

Albanian international midfielder Ansi Agolli’s goal boost hosts New York Cosmos to a 1:0 victory against Brooklyn Italians SC in 2019 NPSL’s (National Premier Soccer League) North Atlantic Conference Final at Uniondale’s Mitchel Athletic Complex on Wednesday evening.

Agolli broke the scoreless deadlock in the 72nd minute-mark firing a one-time shot from 25 yards into the right side of Brooklyn net off an assist from U.S. international midfielder Danny Szetela.

Italian defender Emmanuele Sembroni scored twice to lead hosts New York Cosmos to a 6:0 win over Kingston Stockade FC in the 2019 NPSL’s (National Premier Soccer League) Regular Season Finale at Uniondale’s Mitchel Athletic Complex on Saturday evening.

The victory also gave the NPSL’s North Atlantic Conference first-place Cosmos a 13-0-1 regular season record and home field advantage heading into the postseason.

On the strength of a 8 game run of no losses, NCFC is climbing the ranks of their Eastern Conf., with the draw at home against the Charlotte Independence Thurs. eve. Now at the halfway point of the season, they stand at 8-2-7, barely .500 but with no losses at home, over 7 games facing this opponent without a loss. HC Dave Sarachan informed " We had a couple of opportunities to get the second goal." NCFC found their goal early, as just 3' in, Chester took a cross from Durvernay redirected by Ewolo and sent it home from a yard out, all 3 of his goals have come in the last 4 games.
