For the FIFA World Cup in 2026, the first to have the expanded field of entrants has also been met with an historic attempt for a 3 nation bid, US, Canada & Mexico have joined forces to bring this event back to North America. There are now 32 host ciites  and more with the non host cities that will be involved, those not serving as host cities will as previously reported here will be utilized as broadcast centers, team hubs and other vital purposes.

From early to late morning, Oktoberfest was celebrated in the East Village. Pre game and halftime shows live with Eric and Company we cheered loudly by the packed Bayern fans. Bavarian cuisine from large Pretzels to equally large beers were served and enjoyed by the throng. There were many give aways of jerseys signed by the team and one seperate of James Rodriguez. Former Bayern standout Raimond Aumann was present, and we were lucky enough to walk away with many of his autographed cards to be given to our followers, even after yesterdays Cosmos win we still have a good many to distribute.

Austin Daniels has a new position, he will join with Scott Spence in finding and managing talent in their respective markets Daniels will oversee 14 teams while being heavily involved with Academy Showcases to ID talent, provide scouting and player specific information to Tony Lepore, US Director of Talent ID as well as youth team staffs. In the past he had served as a scout for the U-20 USWNT, coached at the AZ US Boys Training Center, been a DOC at CT Junior Socccer Association, headed clubs in CT and KY. Higher level positions in coaching include with the WPSL NE Mutiny and Univ.

Scott Spence will now fill this role, he had previously been under new U-15 coach Van Den Bergh as a scout in Texas. Very well prepared by his past for such a lofty position as he had been the US rep for Liga MX team CF Monterrey Raydos and its US club affiliates. As Predident of Premier Soccer Services and a US scout for Texas & Atlanta, he is quite familar with the landscape of youth soccer on a broader scale. The former Director of Coaching for the Alabama Youth Soccer Assoc. had also lead the Memphis GSC/Fury Club and is a soccer educator.
