Steven Miller scored for his 2nd straight game just as the 2nd half began and new teammate, Peabo Doue folowed suit at the closing of the game on an assist from Nelson Blanco. readThe record crowd at BC Palace got what they came for as Kei Kamara and Alphonso Davies each scored, for Davies, it was his first goal and left Kei 1 shy of 100 in MLS play. Fifteen minutes of play into the 2nd half saw the 'Caps draw first blood as the 17 year old Russell Teibert found Kei with a crossing ball to the head. Just 17 minutes later another new 'Cap, Mexican int'l Efrain Juarez played a ball on the right to Techera as Davies stayed inside and put the left footed shot home.

It seemed the crowd favorite was young Mallory Pugh as all I heard were deafening screams each time she touched the ball, so reminiscent of Mia Hamm. Her faithful were well rewarded when she put back a rebound while being knocked over inside the penalty area at the 35th minute mark. Long Islander Crystal Dunn of RVC was a late sub and no sooner did she enter the game did she get a dangerous ball at the end line.

These were first ever MLS games for Durkin, Moreno & Segura, DeLon had his 150th start in MLS , all for DC as Durkin entered in the 73rd minute.
