These monies are bound for Member organizations Grassroots Projects, thought to affect over 37,000 soccer enthusiasts over the next trio of years. This effort is of course part and parcel of the USSF goal to make soccer the preeminent sport in the states, via these Innovate to Grow Fund grants to over 2 dozen that have shown their projects have a high level of promise in growing the game at their grassroots level. Not just a marked increase over last year, this is the 3rd year straight that the dollars have gone up over the previous.

readNick Cushing, a familiar name to soccer fans has been tabbed as an asst. to new NYCFC HC Ronny Deila's staff. A half dozen years after joining Man CIty Women Foot Ball Club as HC, set up in a great position to establish him has a top skipper in that side of the game. Still at just 35, he took many a trophy in his term with City, not limited to the 2016 WSL & FA WSL Manager of the Year, he also brought home the FA WSL Cup in 2014, the FA Women's Cup & FA WSL Cup in 2016-'17 & 2018-'19. He also brought them to the UEFA Women's Champions League semi.
readThe newly appoointed HC is Anthony Hudson, he had been the top man already at just 32 of the New Zeland & Bahrain MNT's, lastly with the Colorado Rapids of MLS. His coaching career already spans a dozen years, while heading the Kiwis, he was the youngest HC in the history of the FIFA Confederations Cup getting the All Whites to the 2016 OFC Nations Cup. The holder of a UEFA Pro Lic. he seems to be a tremendous addition to the coaching staff at the USSF.
