-Their 5 game unbeaten streak and 3 game away unbeaten streaks came to crashing halts.

-They had a pair of consecutive goals out of White & Casseres Jr. in the 18' & 38'.

-White struck from outside the area as Cassees Jr. struck from just inside it on a deflection from a NYCFC back.

-White hit for his 4th goal and recorded his first assist on the year, now he stands with 14 regular season goals overall. He now has a goal in 3 of the last 4 games.

It was a rain soaked field, neither team played well but NYCFC was better, far sharper than the visitors from the other side of the Hudson, and even without the iffy PK were the better team.

A pair of decades long names in North American soccer went at it and the team coached by former NY Cosmos coach, Giovanni Saverese took the game on the 2nd stanza goal by Yimmi Chara, one of a few brothers not just in the league but on the same team. This win was big in terms of the playoffs. Now, come next Sunday, the 'Caps face a must win to even be in the running to get beyond the 'Quakes in the table. They will face the Galaxy wiithout Baldisimo, out due to yellow cards.

His shot lead to the win off a Jesus Medina goal facing Toronto in the 1-0 NYCFC victory just days before. What really put the 22 year old member of Argentinas U-23 team over the top was the hat trick that we were witness to in a Derby match no less. The trio of goals was his first such game in his pro career and also made him the youngest in the short history of the team to do so. Just for good measure he also assisted on the goal by Gary Mackay-Steven at 42'.

The Corona Virus Crisis continues to hit MLS. As previously stated, the Sporting KC v Minnesota United game has been cancelled, also effect is the 'Quakes v LAFC also today. The game on the left coast at this time has been postponed as the league looks to replay it before Nov. 8, Decision Day. A trio of players from the visitors team have tested positive for the virus as other staff and players remain negative, thankfully.
