A pleasant surprise was Allie Long of Long Island and Reign FC as she joins fellow Long Islander Crystal Dunn of NC Courage and her teamamates Dahlkemper, Mewis & McDonald, as Allie is joined by her's, Rampinoe. Portland had a handful named in Franch, Sonnett, Horan & Heath,  while Sky Blue had just one in NJ player Lloyd, Orlando has what may be the first couple on the same World Cup team in history as both Harris & Krieger will join Morgan.

Things are bigger in Texas as was this win for the visitors who saw Williams get her 40th pro goal and Debhina the 100th team goal.  So far so perfect for the 2019 season as Long Islander Crystal Dunn a defender for the USWNT and Leah Pruitt added the other pair of goals. Lynn is now #4 in the league in goals all time and Pruitt had this, her first pro goal, what a historic game for the team.

Just 6' in, the FIre heated it up as Gaitan took one out of the air from inside the penalty box testing GK Bush and many shots to follow as Nikolic's attempt hit the post back post to Sapong and his attempt from inside the goal box was cleared off the goal line. It was Gaitan again as McCarty fed him at 67' and he then put it through to Nicolic and his bending go on goal was saved by Bush. They had the better of the play for the 2nd half but a late goal at 83' spelt defeat at the feet of the Impact as a Browne cross was deflected past the netminder, 1-0 Montreal.

A Big Battle in the West yields a 1-1 tie as LAFC & Seattle wind up all knotted up, leaving the 2nd year LAFC in sole possession of first place league wide.  From the friendly confines of their home park, Seattle drew first blood less than a minute in as Jordan Morris, yes a team doctors son, can you believe it took a backpass from Segura and his left footed shot was true.

Three games in a week, 2 wins then an anticlimactic tie with the same side they tied on opening day at Yankee Stadium, now it was 1-1 with Orlando City SC. A pair of adjustments from the last starting XI were Castellanos & Matarrita from Tajouri-Schardi & Ben Sweat. OC came out well as they tried for the early lead and Sands stymied an early change with a great challange on Akindele just at the 8' but that would not last. The next push forward for Saw Nani hit the bottom 90 beating Johnson for the first strike of the game.
