2021 Competition Framework for NWSL Announced

Liz Dalton, NWSL Dir. of Ops. & Player Affairs informed "2021 is shaping up to be another big year for the NWSL as we continue to innovate our product, engage our incredible fans and support our players and teams."

Camps will open Feb. 21 as games begin mid-April with another NWSL Challenge Cup, happening in multiple bubbles as per their Medical Taskforce and public heath authorities.

Chief Revenue Officer Mitch Poll contributed "We're focused on continuing to build opportunities to expand our reach, expose a global audience to the best women's club soccer in the world." 

After the Cup, the regular season gets into gear as each member team gets in two dozen games, details TBA. Half a dozen will make the playoffs, come Nov. the top 2 seeds getting byes. The weekend of Nov. 20 will be the title game as they then gear up for their 10th year of play.
