WIth a pair of games facing teams that helped eliminate the USMNT from this most recent World Cup, all are hoping for far different results, with a revamped roster having almost half, 11 never donning the US kit before, this should be interesting. First up for the new year and new coach will be Panama on the 27th in Glendale AZ an 8 p.m. ET kick on ESPN2, UniMas & UDN is hoping for good ratings as it is well after the NFL Pro Bowl game, next facing this revamped lineup is Costa Rica, Feb. 2 in San Jose at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX, UniMas & UDN. This camp opened on Jan. 7 with a total of 26 players in attendance in Chula Vista, CA then off to Pheonix yesterday for final prep facing Panama. Gregg contributed, "The entire group has worked hard and brought an excellent mindset, and we thank them for the consistent effort thus far."  As for those with local ties, Sean Johnson of NYCFC is one of two gk's, Aaron Long (MLS Defender of the Year) of NYRB  hopes to earn his 3rd cap, former Metrostars player, Michael Bradley from NJ is approaching his 150th cap, Jonathan Lewis from NYCFC is one of those uncapped in camp. A quartet of players have been released back to their teams, Alex Bono, Tyler Miller, Justin Glad & Kellyn Acosta who we interviewed in the past.
