Today's Football Follies

Yes, yet again a top tier? team has showed its' total and complete lack of professionalism. Yet again not giving respect to those expected to attend. Sending out the notice after 6pm for a 1 pm the next day? Typical business etiquette, forgetting about common sense, calls for a minimum of 24 hours, and that is if it is something that was not really expected, a pre game presser is known well before the season kicks off and we are now near the halfway point. This has lead some outlets to no longer follow teams presss conferences. Is it that they lack the business experience, acumen, are that out of touch or simply do not care? I and others from various industries I infom of such things are bewildered. This in the wake of a major contraction in sports media as ESPN has let go a number of people with decades of experience, is proof that most do in fact need to have a 9-5 to be able to cover soccer. Who if they went to their supervisor at say 8:55am, requesting a same day lunch time of 1pm, rather than your regularly scheduled time, would not have it held against them or denied. Given a day or 3 would make it far easier. Small Real Estate concerns I deal with give days if not well over a week notice, these are business in the 100's of millions of dollars in value, not estentially mom and pop firms.
